The tea industry has increased the income of its members by 40 million yuan, and more than 1500 poor villagers in the surrounding areas have achieved income increase.

"Many farmers have an annual income of more than 100000 yuan from the tea industry," said Ma Jihong, secretary of Huazhishan Village. Driven by the tea industry, the villagers' per capita income is more than 5000 yuan, and the poor households will achieve 100% poverty alleviation in 2019. The tea industry has become a pillar industry to promote the poverty alleviation in Enshi Prefecture.
